This blog is about me, my son and the beautiful craziness that is our life. I like to write about everyday life happenings with a little bit of gardening, crafting and local attractions thrown in. I’m still learning about the world of blogging. I swear I learn something new every day. Having lots of fun finding new blogs and meeting new people through my blog.

Some of my favorite things(in no specific order):

The outdoors

Refinishing old furniture

Hanging out with my son

Coffee with friends

Reading others blogs

Things I DO NOT like(in so specific order…I dislike all these things equally):

Cleaning the fish tank

Lists are constantly being updated 🙂 ……..

You are welcome! I do love Florida! I look forward following your blog. I also live in a very high tourist area. However, as a local I tend not to visit the touristy places. Recently I’ve been trying to see more local things so I can blog about them.

Hello! I ended up on your blog because I’m researching my family tree and we have a common ancestor: Simon D. Troyer. Sounds like your family comes from Simon’s daughter Lucy, and mine comes from Simon’s daughter Sevilla. I read (and thoroughly enjoyed) the story about the Doughty several times, and then I got to reading more of your blog because I kept seeing interesting topics that I could relate to. Anyway, I’ll be checking it out periodically because it’s a great read. 🙂

Hi Kristin! That is pretty neat that we are related. Lucy would have been my great grandma (my grandma’s mom on my mom’s side). I have really gotten interested in genealogy over the last few years.

Hi, it seems you know quite a bit about The Doughty and Troyers Park. If you would contact me, it would be greatly appreciated.
