Trying Something Different

I’m trying to make the most of the space I have for my garden. I never seem to have enough room. So this year I’m growing my leaf lettuce in a tiered pot instead of in the garden. Yes, I know, it’s kind of late to be starting lettuce. Don’t judge me. I also put up a trellis for my peas to climb. I’m hoping this contains them to their designated area.

Don’t be jealous of my stylish pots. They were free and I like to work with what I’ve got. Can’t wait to see them full of lettuce.

My pea trellis. I sure hope it works. What do you think? Does it look like it will hold up and do its job? Time will tell.

Are you doing anything different in your garden this year? What are your tips on gardening with limited space?

I’m a little crazy this year. As if the garden wasn’t enough, I’m now contemplating hanging tins and growing lettuce in them too. So I’ll join you in the late lettuce planting!

Would love to hear how the hanging tins turn out. Also would love to see pics. I’ve had a hard time keeping the bunnies out of my garden. I’m determined not to put a fence up. We’ll see how long that lasts. They have been enjoying my baby romaine that is in the garden.
