Trying Something Different

I’m trying to make the most of the space I have for my garden. I never seem to have enough room. So this year I’m growing my leaf lettuce in a tiered pot instead of in the garden. Yes, I know, it’s kind of late to be starting lettuce. Don’t judge me. I also put up a trellis for my peas to climb. I’m hoping this contains them to their designated area.

Don’t be jealous of my stylish pots. They were free and I like to work with what I’ve got. Can’t wait to see them full of lettuce.

My pea trellis. I sure hope it works. What do you think? Does it look like it will hold up and do its job? Time will tell.

Are you doing anything different in your garden this year? What are your tips on gardening with limited space?

Still Works

About a month ago I made this cement flower-pot. Sadly, when I took it out of the mold it broke in two. But I managed to save it and still be able to use it. It’s fine as long as I don’t pick it up. And the impatients don’t seem to mind the huge crack. Don’t you just love the colors?
